Electrical Transformer Vault
This electrical transformer vault has inside dimensions of 13'-0" x 24'-6" and is designed for AASHTO HS-20 loading. Its features include an internal wall, a sloped floor with sump and drain cover, duct terminators, waterstop imbedded in the bottom joint, manhole steps, butyl sealing compound and butyl wrap at the seams, polyurethane coating, and removeable hatches and ventilation grating in the top slab. It was assembled in one day and consists of four sections.

Communications Building

This communication building was ordered by a TV station. Midwest Precast worked with the station’s engineer to customize the building. Its outside dimensions are 30’ x 30’ with a self-supporting clear-span roof and interior height of 12’. The building was installed on a poured-in-place concrete floor in three days and includes steel entry doors and an exposed aggregate finish. Inserts were cast into the roof sections for affixing hangers to mount equipment weighing 4,000 lb.
